Mode A — Worksheet

Converts your actual problems

Numbered problems with blank answers — SolveQuest extracts each one exactly as written. The quest uses the real problems from the homework. 15 problems detected on this Grade 2 math worksheet: 3-digit subtraction with regrouping.

Example detection →"Skill Areas (1): 3-digit subtraction with regrouping · 15 problems detected · Grade Estimate: Grade 2 · We'll convert these problems into quest questions."
Mode B — Study Guide

Generates original practice

Spelling lists, skill sheets, weekly reviews — where there are no problems to solve, SolveQuest detects the curriculum topics and generates fresh practice questions from them. Spelling words are read aloud via the companion's voice.

Example →A spelling list of 10 words becomes a listening quest where each word is spoken and the child selects or types the correct spelling.

Companion Story System

The homework is how
the story moves forward.

Every companion lives through a hero's journey. Quill the owl is sealing an ancient darkness in her Library of Aethermoor. Rocco the dinosaur woke up 66 million years too late and is discovering the modern world.

After qualifying quests — homework scans, curriculum quests, mastery milestones — story sequences and artifact pieces unlock. Nine pieces. Nine chapters. When piece 9 unlocks: a full celebration, the companion's final line spoken aloud, 500 bonus coins.

The learning is what makes the story move. A child who wants to know what happens to Rocco next will open SolveQuest voluntarily.

📖 9 story sequences per companion 🧪 9-piece artifact assembly 🔊 TTS reads every slide aloud 📚 Story Archive — re-read anytime
Inside a Quest

Real questions.
Real feedback. Real learning.

This is an ELA Reading quest on Main Idea. A reading passage appears above four answer choices. The subject badge shows exactly what's being practiced. Question 1 of 9 marked at the top. The speaker icon reads the question aloud. The Hint button opens the companion's micro-lesson if needed.

Wrong answers don't advance — they teach. The companion explains what went wrong, reads it aloud, and the child taps "Got it" before the next question appears.

Quest Summary

Every result tracked.
Including what they missed.

After every quest: questions, correct answers, coins earned, hints used, XP gained, rank progress. A weekly streak tracker shows exactly where they are in the week.

The collapsible "For Parents" section shows the specific learning objective practiced — useful for knowing what homework topics to follow up on. Question Review shows every question the child missed so you can revisit them.

Curriculum Engine (Scholar)

No homework today?
The AI knows what's next.

When there's no worksheet to scan, Curriculum Quest automatically finds the most important next concept from your child's skill map and builds a quest around it. Billy's plan: Algorithms this week (Proficient, 10 min), Sequencing next (Struggling, 7 min).

Placement diagnostic on first entry. Spaced repetition for mastered concepts. Concept intro lessons before new topics. Everything sequenced, nothing repeated unnecessarily.

Questions

Things parents ask us.

SolveQuest uses AI vision to identify the document type. A homework worksheet with numbered problems (Mode A) gets each problem extracted exactly as written — the quest uses your child's actual homework. A skills sheet or spelling list (Mode B) triggers original practice generation from the curriculum topics detected. The detection result shows you the skill areas found, problem count, and grade estimate before the quest starts.
Three other options. Curriculum Quest (Scholar) automatically selects the most important next concept from your child's skill map. Oracle Quest lets you pick subject, topic, and difficulty. Describe a Quest lets you type or speak anything: "She's struggling with reading comprehension" or "Spelling test Friday with these 10 words." You can also assign quests with due dates in Homeschool Mode.
Each companion lives through a hero's journey that unfolds alongside your child's learning — including homework quests. Story sequences unlock at real milestones: first quest, first mastery, 5-quest streak, subject proficiency, subject mastery. Each is read aloud by the companion. A symbolic artifact assembles piece by piece. When all 9 pieces unlock: assembly animation, companion final line via voice, 500 bonus coins. Every chapter re-readable in the Story Archive.
Yes. The quest summary shows a Question Review section with every question the child missed — the original problem, their answer, and the correct answer. The "For Parents" section shows the specific learning objective practiced. You know which homework topics your child actually understood before the test.
